Lull

7th June - 28th July 2018

Hazel Egan

Joint recipient of the Cairde Visual 2017- Hamilton Gallery Award

Lull is a new body of work by Dublin based artist Hazel Egan.  Primarily concerned with drawing, Egan’s practice addresses spatial and ontological concerns and is influenced by science, architecture, literature and philosophy.  Demonstrating the quiet and meditative aesthetic of Egan’s practice, the works that feature in Lull speak about the apparent pauses and gaps in time that are often experienced before moments of clarity.

Hazel was recently awarded a bursary by Fingal County Council in support of her work.

Entropy

7th June - 28th July 2018

Noel Tighe

Joint recipient of the Cairde Visual 2017- Hamilton Gallery Award

Noel Tighe, Entropy – birth, life and death is a constant pattern in off the natural world, it is all around us ever present.  I have always felt to be part of that is a great privilege, this series of work explores that great patter.  I see these pieces as 3 dimensional drawings using the marriage of materials in the language of sculpture to analyse the relationship between the fusion of life with the passage of time.
