Hamilton Gallery
Hamilton Gallery was founded by Martina Hamilton. It is located at Number 4 Castle Street in the heart of Sligo town, a listed Victorian era building.
Hamilton Gallery hosts a year round programme of month long solo exhibitions. An annual programme of specifically themed group shows is also presented in Sligo, in Irish venues and showcased abroad.
Since 2010 Hamilton Gallery has become a significant fixture in visual arts programming in Ireland and a crucial one in the Northwest region. A thriving showcase for new works from many of the country’s leading visual artists, it also pioneers the work of many emerging artists.
In addition to our programme of solo and group exhibitions the gallery carries representative selections of work from many of the artists who have exhibited with us or who have pending exhibitions with the gallery.
Our extensive archive pages will take you through most of the art works on an exhibition by exhibition basis that we have hosted since opening in 2010. While many of the art works presented during these exhibitions will have sold, some may well still be "in house". We are happy to discuss our "in house" art works with individuals or corporate buyers who are looking to develop their collections.
If you see any archive item that catches your attention please don't hesitate to contact us and we will let you know if it is with us.
It is equally likely that we have art works from our gallery artists that have not yet featured in exhibitions at the gallery, and we are always happy to go through these works with you.
Hamilton Gallery is happy to offer private viewings for any of the upcoming exhibitions we have posted on this site, and equally for our "in house" collection. If you would like to arrange a private viewing please contact us by phone. Private viewings can be offered outside normal gallery hours.
