Sleeping Venus and other New Works
DIARMUID DELARGY
The work presented is the fruit of an engagement, a hands-on wrestle, in my studio with printmaking, sculpture - in some cases unfinished sculpture - as well as paintings. As a result this exhibition entails a cross-referencing of these to present a dynamic visual conversation that produces distinct works which are closely related in different mediums. This may include working drawings, prints, maquettes, a large work in progress etc. This trilingual approach is my means of production and is an absolute necessity in my pursuit of finding completion.
