"This exhibition is, in part, a revisitation of one of my earliest prints "Linnegan's Kitchen" from 1982. The original depicted a caged sow -they say- being prevented from the disaster of eating her own farrow...the present lockdown caused me to reflect on this piece and I found myself responding....riffing off the original if you like.
Similarly a recent visit to the Antrim coast, just before lockdown, got me athinking. I realised l hadn't fully responded to the coastline of my formative years and l was inspired to do so .
For me the title "Omphalos" references where l came from." -Diarmuid Delargy
