From April 2nd 2022
In the harsh light of a Spring morning white light dances through the hedgerows, cutting through the limbs of trees, almost making noise. The clouds move across the sun and the landscape darkens and in an instant the trees become fleshy and substantive, colours are restored. Trying to communicate this in the illusion of a painting became my quest as the transient nature of our western light and the need for speed to catch it has held my attention.
