Ancestral Houses opens in Chengdu

Welcome to Chengdu! The Embassy of Ireland to China launched the W.B. Yeats: Ancestral Houses and Meditations exhibition on 19 September at the Centre for China Europe Cooperation in Chengdu, forming part of the Chengdu Ireland Week. The programme aims to connect the people of Chengdu to Ireland with Irish culture, tourism, technology, food and drink. Our touring exhibition is supported by Chengdu Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and Hong Kong VA Galleries, and continues until the 20 October. The exhibition will then move on to Chongqing.

We wish to acknowledge and thank all of the artists who have contributed to this exhibition, and across the entire series of invited artists exhibitions, which have marked our contribution to Irelands Decade of Centenaries programme since 2014.

We are most grateful to Irelands Department of Foreign Affairs', to Irelands Ambassador to China Ann Derwin and all of her staff for this wonderful opportunity.
