‘Pathway ’is a documentation exhibition showcasing a collaborative art commission between residents of Nazareth Village and artists Catherine Fanning & Brigitta Varadi. The commission was funded by the Per Cent for Arts Scheme, managed and administered by Sligo County Council Arts Office in partnership with Nazareth Housing Association.

This new body of work is artist Catherine Fanning's visual response to working on the Pathway ceramic commission in 2017.

Artist Statement
Catherine’s current work is nature inspired, influenced by the rural landscape it’s plants and wild flowers alone our country roadsides. Art journaling has become a stepping stone to the making of new artworks. Collage and mixed media have found their way from the art journal page to the canvas. Layering and hidden surface are a strong element within Catherine’s current work.
