Hamilton Gallery in partnership with the European Parliament Liaison Office in Ireland invited submissions for Europe in the Heart of Ireland, an exhibition of new art works to launch the Europa Gallery exhibition space at the new European Parliament Liaison Office & European Commission Representation in Ireland at 11 Chatham Street Dublin.
It is intended the exhibition will provide an insightful demonstration of artistic voices, techniques and preoccupations extant across Ireland at the time of the Europa Gallery opening. Accordingly theme / subject matter for submitted works was at the discretion of each artist.
Europe in the Heart of Ireland will take place at The Europa Experience Visitor Centre in from 4th October until 22nd November and subsequently at Hamilton Gallery Sligo from 30th November - 25th January. It is likely the exhibition will be shown as part of the Europe House cultural programme in other national and international venues TBC.
Sincere thanks to all artists who have engaged with Europe in The Heart of Ireland

ABOUT EUROPE HOUSE
This autumn, a new Europe House will open in Chatham Street, just off Grafton Street right in the heart of Dublin.
Home to both the European Parliament's and European Commission's offices in Ireland, the building will house a Europa Experience which will become one of the top-level tourist and cultural experiences in Dublin, for visitors to the city and residents alike.
Europa Experiences can be found in capital cities across the European Union, allowing you to explore how as Europeans we work together to tackle the most important challenges. Using cutting-edge multimedia tools, you can learn how the EU works, how it affects your daily life, and how you can make a difference. Part of the cultural offer of this new attraction will be a Europa Gallery displaying work by European artists.
The opening exhibition will be titled 'Europe in the Heart of Ireland' and 100 hundred artists living in Ireland will be selected, via this open call, for the exhibition.
